William Stanley Milligan, also known as “Billy”, was the first person diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder to raise such a defence, and the first acquitted of a major crime for this reason, instead of spending a decade in mental hospitals. This controversial and widely published court case in the late 1970s is chosen as a background story for creating appealing characters in my major project.

This is my self-research project and my second-time character modelling practice. This process aims to explore and develop my character design skill from 2D digital drawing to 3D model creation. In this project, three of Billy’s twenty-four personalities were selected to be analysed and developed into my design. It is to strengthen my skills in modelling realistic human characters and props. Special features of Marvelous Designer and Pixologic's Zbrush have been applied to improve my sculpturing and texturing skills.
